This month was filled with job interviews (seriously, almost one per week), so I have not gotten any serious studying done, beyond keeping up with my flashcards (and sometimes not even that!). Because of the job situation, I’m also pretty up in the air about how much time I can be devoting to languages. I want to pick up something new, but right now just maintaining Thai and Javanese is a struggle. So for now I’m gathering materials to prep for the future.
Travel This Month
Again, job interviews mean travel. This month, I went to Pittsburgh, Oswego, and Blacksburg. There was not a lot of eating out, but there was some walking around. Also, Pittsburgh’s public transportation from the airport was surprisingly good!
Singapore Airlines is going to start a route from Singapore to New York.
Indonesia is going to require people on working visas to take languages classes. An interesting move.
Check out this video about going plastic-free for a month.
